It is a great book. Also when you recognize your weaknesses then you can work on those to change those temperaments into more like the fruit of the Spirit. September 7, Sold by: Labaye book was widely sold in Brazil around ‘s and it became very famous in that country.
I liked how the author stressed the importance of having the Holy Spirit in control in order to use our temperaments for God’s glory. Each contains strengths spitit richness, yet each is fraught with its own weakness and dangers.
I bought this book knowing the title in Portuguese language.
The best parts of the book were the beginning and the end – when he describes the characteristics of each temperament, the possible combinations there are 12and then how each temperament changes with the addition of the Holy Spirit. In “Spirit-Controlled Temperament, ” Tim LaHaye provides answers vontrolled after ancient models of human behavior and grounded in the Word of God, making this a classic read for all Christians.
I’m aware that the basic propositions and theories of this book will discourage many Christian readers; it will be observed that the Holy Bible never expressly deals with the ancient Four Temperaments theory, and that its origins seems to be definitely pagan.

Of course, the book also helped me give grace to others, particularly those who are so unlike me that I might previously have envied their gifts while simultaneously condemning and judging them for their weaknesses–things no reasonable person would struggle with, or so I thought, because those weaknesses were not MY weaknesses.
As I read through the initial presentation of the four basis temperaments, I was thinking it seemed much too simplistic to be realistic. The author share many histories from real people that had their lives changed after applying to their lives the principles that this book suggested.
Personally, I was very vexed, as a young Christian, to come to learn, firsthand, about so much strife and sin amongst Christians myself includedand I definitely believe this is one of the most important books the Lord has sent my way, as it were, and it has helped me reach much peace and understanding amongst all of the debates and strife! Clearly presented, easy to read and biblically sound. It’s a good book so far, but I have to take off one star because the Four Temperaments Test isn’t included in the book.
