Dream from Marissa Mendoza…
I am with a blonde girl and a brunette girl. We are outside of a white, Victorian-style, two-story house. It is night time. I am following the girls. I feel paranoid as we tip-toe around the house. We climb a rope that dangles from a bedroom of the house. We do so with ease and the blonde girl welcomes me into her room. She has long shiny hair. It looks even more interesting to me because of the lighting in the room, which is red. The calm moment of safety in the bedroom switches right back into the feeling of anxiety. I know there is a group of men in or around the house who we are avoiding.
We walk out of the bedroom. It is dark in the hallway, but when the hallway turns perpendicular it is well-lit. There is no more red lighting in this area of the house, I notice. The blonde girl leads us through the house and I seem to alternate between walking between her and the brunette girl and walking behind both of them. I like that this area of the house is well-lit. We are walking through the hallway, always looking back and forth for the group of men we are avoiding.I notice I am suddenly carrying a painting. It is about thirty six inches tall and thirty inches wide. It is framed with a two-inch brass or gold frame that is textured and three-dimensional. I know it is a beautiful frame, though I don’t take a good hard look at it. The painting has dark blue and black hues; I don’t get a good look at it either. The painting is heavy. I carry it in my right hand and am thinking about being able to set it down. I know that I must deliver it to a dinner party that is planned in the house. We don’t want to spend time at the dinner party besides the minute we take to drop off the painting.
We walk up a short staircase to the room where the dinner party is soon to start. We enter the room. It has large window that takes up the majority of the wall on the left side of the room from where I entered. There is a large rectangular dinner table covered with a dark green tablecloth. There are ten guests at the table and each of their places is set with a folded white napkin, silverware, wine glass, and water glass. The guests are older, in their fifties and sixties. They are chattering loudly, but quiet down as we enter the room. Most of them look up at us for a brief moment then return to their conversations. I set the painting down on a table near the doorway. I admire three tall crystal candleholders with white candles in the center of the table. We leave the room and walk downstairs, back into the areas of the house with dark hallways and red-lit rooms. We are still avoiding the group of men in the house. I believe they are planning something dangerous. We go down a hall and down a short set of stairs towards the garage, where we plan on hiding from them. I open the door to the garage and see all of the men standing around a Cadillac SUV. They are talking and don’t even notice that we opened the door, much to my surprise. I feel stressed and fearful and quickly shut the door.
We sprint away from the garage. We end up in the kitchen, which is a giant, restaurant-style kitchen. It has bright white lighting. We are walking out of the kitchen and stop at a banquet preparation area. There is a long shelf on a wall that blocks the view of the door to the kitchen from the room behind it. There are three piles of papers and a closed laptop sitting on this shelf. The lighting in this area is red. The area seems like a good hiding spot. Chef Karl comes from around the corner. I am relieved to see him at first. He tells us, “You can’t stay here. I need to work in this area. I need to finish budget reports.”

Dreamer’s Bio
I am extraverted, hard-working, fun-loving, and intelligent. I love working as a server at a golf club and as a teacher’s aide at a special education school. Others would describe me as unique, organized, social, and fun. I believe these are accurate. I love spending time with my boyfriend. I value good friends and doing my best to be a good friend as well. I am wary of who I become close with, though. I love going to restaurants and bars, spending time outdoors, and going to the beach especially. I am very busy with work and my college education, which I value very much. I am preoccupied with planning my future semesters and graduate school and career plans. I most likely will pursue an elementary teaching career upon finishing my bachelor’s degree in psychology. I also dream of being able to help my parents, one of which suffers with alcoholism and health problems and the other who suffers from severe mental disorders. Born 17th May, 1989.
